A dirty or sticking actuator can show symptoms of a bad or defective turbo. Replacing the actuator could be a simple fix to bad turbo response. Comes with a 1 year warranty.

Ford's VGT turbocharger allows one turbo to be two turbos in one. At lower RPM's the vanes are positioned to make the turbo spool quickly to eliminate lag. At high RPM's the vane angle is positioned to act like a larger turbo. The VGT system uses a PCM electric solenoid to control the flow of pressurized oil which pops a metal piston to adjust the movement of the vanes.
