Garrett and Ford teamed up to create a relatively new concept for their turbos on the Powerstroke 6.7L, with this new design revolving around what Garrett calls SST (Single Sequential Turbo) where two compressor wheels are mounted onto a single shaft. This results in many of the benefits of having twin turbos - response off the bottom, coupled with a strong mid-range and top end – without taking up the space of a dual setup. Unfortunately, once power-boosting modifications start being implemented on the vehicle this turbo can undergo a series of failures, most notably bursting seals allowing oil to get into the intercooler and requiring the replacement of both.

This turbo is available for both Pickup and Cab & Chassis, and have a core charge of $250. This turbo is backed by a one year or two year, unlimited mile warranty.
