3.5L Ecoboost Front Mount Intercooler Upgraded | BL3Z6K775B | 2011-2014 Ford F-150 Ecoboost

This is an upgraded 2011 to 2014 Ford F-150 EcoBoost front mounted intercooler, offering a direct replacement that fits in the stock location while being larger and more efficient. If you weren't aware before of the many issues surrounding the stock intercooler on the early 3.5L Eco-Boost here are some facts. The stock end tanks (plastic) tend to pool water and it can cause your forced induction engine to suck up water and cause hydro-lock, along with premature turbo failure. The old "dealer" fix was to drill a peep hole in the bottom intercooler pipe so it would drain. It was not a good solution and in inclement weather caused more water to enter the induction system.

This intercooler is upgraded to eliminate the pooling issues and offer better cooling efficiency. It features Tig-Welded Aluminum end tanks, a denser and overall larger BAR and PLATE core allowing heat to dissipate faster. Bar and Plate is also more durable and a better option for front mount over the cheaper fin style, as debris damage is common. Sealing is superior in a Bar and Plate unit because the bars run the length of the unit, providing a better seal between the cold and hot charge sides. The bars also allow the cooler to flex under high boost which prevents cracking and leaks. Black Heat coating was also applied for the benefit of cooling. This is a great upgrade for drivers in hotter states, ones that tow or are a daily driver that wants peace of mind. Our intercooler fits 11-14 and on some models you will need to make a minor fitment adjustment to your bracket for install. All necessary installation items are included in this kit.

Now here are the facts, after hours of data logging we found an average of 13-15 degrees cooler temperatures. On the intake side temp of 79-80 degrees with an ambient temp of 95. That is 14-15 degree difference.
