Power Stop Drilled & Slotted Rear Brake Rotor Set | AR8598XPR | 2004-2011 Ford F150
2010-2011 Ford F-150 Raptor SVT
Description
Pair of Uprated Drilled and Slotted Brake Rotors
While your rear brakes don't shoulder that much of the burden when it comes to bringing your F150 to a clean, safe, and quick stop, they do help out a bit, and your heavy 2004 to 2011 F150 needs all the help it can get. This pair of rear brake rotors from Power Stop have a drilled and slotted design that provide improved stopping power and reduced fade over your factory blank rotors that give your truck a nice boost in performance while being easy drop-in replacements for your F150's worn and weary stock rotors. Power Stop's F150 drilled and slotted rear rotors are a great choice for just about any application. These rear rotors are an excellent balance of performance, price, and fitment for your F150.
Reduce Fade and Improve Bite over Stock Blank Rotors
This pair of Power Stop rear F150 brake rotors are the exact same diameter of your truck's factory rotors and fit both your truck's factory brake pads and rotors, as well as most aftermarket brake pads from both Power Stop and other major manufacturers. The rotors each feature a cross-drilled and slotted surface that improves their overall braking performance over your factory blank rotors. Each of the CNC drilled holes lead down into the rotors' internal vanes which carries heat away from the rotor's surface during braking to help keep fade minimal even during heavy and consistent braking. The slotted surface of each rotor acts as a cleaning agent and sweeps brake dust and other debris away from the contact surface for improved bite and power along with more consistent braking performance. These heavy-duty cast iron rotors come standard with a bright zinc dichromate finish for a great look and extra protection against corrosion.
Rotor Size:
Factory 13.7" replacement.
Power Stop Extreme Bedding Note:
The break in procedure is critical to brake performance. The reason for a proper break in is to establish an even layer of friction material deposited on the rotors from the brake pads. It is very important that this initial layer of friction material is evenly distributed. Break in the pads as follows: 5 moderate to aggressive stops from 40 mph down to 10 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool and do not come to a complete stop. Then do 5 moderate stops from 35 mph to 5 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool. You should expect to smell some resin as the brakes get hot. After this is complete, drive around for as long as possible without excessively heating the brakes and without coming to a complete stop (Try for about 5 minutes at moderate speed). This is the cooling stage. It allows the heated resin in the brake pads to cool and cure. After the brakes have cooled to standard operating temperature, you may use the brakes normally.
