Description

High-Performance Stopping Power

Designed to the exact specifications of your GT Mustang, Power Stop's Cross-Drilled & Slotted Front Rotors are a high-performance replacement for your stock 13.22" OEM rotors. With their high-quality design, these cross-drilled and slotted rotors feature innovative beveled drill holes that will improve the stopping power of your Coyote-powered Mustang. Power Stop's cross-drilled design helps prevent glazing and helps to wipe away the debris that forms between the pad and the disc in order to improve the initial bite of the brake pads. Compared to a solid-surface rotor, these front rotors give your Mustang the big brake stopping power without the big brake price tag.

Provides Substantial Braking Performance At An Exceptional Value

Each of the front rotors are cross-drilled and slotted with precise CNC-machining that leads down into their vane network. The intricate holes greatly reduce heat across the surface of the rotor, keeping it up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than your stock blanks. The design of each rotor helps clear away brake dust, gasses, and other debris from your pads to give you more bite and consistent braking performance. The drilled holes allow for improved cooling over stock under hard braking and the slots help to create a clear contact patch between your pad and rotor that sweeps away gas and dust. Power Stop Rotors are crafted from the finest blanks on the market and feature G3000 grade castings that have been silver zinc plated to resist rust.

Power Stop Extreme Bedding Note:

The break in procedure is critical to brake performance. The reason for a proper break in is to establish an even layer of friction material deposited on the rotors from the brake pads. It is very important that this initial layer of friction material is evenly distributed. Break in the pads as follows: 5 moderate to aggressive stops from 40 mph down to 10 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool and do not come to a complete stop. Then do 5 moderate stops from 35 mph to 5 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool. You should expect to smell some resin as the brakes get hot. After this is complete, drive around for as long as possible without excessively heating the brakes and without coming to a complete stop (Try for about 5 minutes at moderate speed). This is the cooling stage. It allows the heated resin in the brake pads to cool and cure. After the brakes have cooled to standard operating temperature, you may use the brakes normally.
