Particular Volkswagen and Audi vehicles are equipped with an intake manifold runner system that is prone to failure. A vacuum diaphragm operates the runner flaps through a plastic linkage that connects the flap arm to the diaphragm. This linkage often breaks due to thermal damage, carbon buildup obstructing the runner flaps, and the strong spring that normally keeps the flaps closed. The result is typically rough engine operation and a P2015 DTC code. This upgraded manifold is designed to replace the original unit with an improved linkage made from durable cast aluminum, ensuring years of reliable service. To minimize unnecessary costs, the IMRC sensor is not included, as the factory sensor is typically reusable. Gaskets for both the upstream and downstream ends of the manifold are included to ensure a complete repair. This carries two year warranty.
