Steering Gear Fits 2007 (after 7/30/07) – 2010 (2/28/10 and older) Ford F-250 and F-350 vehicles. If your vehicle was made on 3/1/10 or later, you will need model 2773. This gearbox allows you to retain the factory steering shaft, as well as the stock pitman arm. This is a major advantage especially those with lifted trucks with dropped pitman arms, you will not have to change your pitman arm.

Please Note: This Steering Gear Box is available in a heavy duty upgrade option which is applicable if the vehicle is used for off-roading, has tires that are larger than 37 inches in diameter, or is used for heavy hauling. Please see 2769U

• Sector shafts are installed on a lathe to confirm they are straight and true
• Sealing surface is polished to avoid any leaks

Note:
If you have a 2008 model year, please check the vehicle build date located on the drivers side front door. If the vehicle is built 07/07 or prior, you will need a different gear box, Red-Head part number 2768 (See Related Products section) that is designated as fitment of 2005-2007 model years. If you have a 2010 model year, please check the vehicle build date located on the drivers side front door. If the vehicle is built 03/10 or later, you will need a different gear box, Red-Head part number 2773 (See Related Products section) that is designated as fitment of 2011-2016 model years.

Core Return:

• Please drain core of fluid and replace port plugs
• Use plastic bag that we sent your new gearbox in (if it’s still intact) or whatever is needed to keep box from leaking
• Re-use packing materials to ensure the box is returned to us without hassle from the courier
• Also, if possible, tape or re-tape the outside of the box to help strengthen it

If these steps aren’t properly performed, the gearbox may end up in hazmat and/or be returned to sender by courier.
