Power Stop Z36 Truck & Tow Complete Brake Kit | PWR-K5459-36 | 2009-2011 Ford F250
2010-2011 Ford F350 Super Duty 4WD - Single Rear Wheels Only
Improved Stopping Power and Reduced Fade
If you use your Super Duty 4WD for heavy hauling or towing, you need a reliable braking system to ensure a safe ride and long-lasting dependability. Power Stop's 1-Click Extreme Truck & Tow Brake Kit replaces your truck's factory rotors and pads with up-rated hardware to improve heat dissipation and stopping power without sacrificing ride quality. This complete brake kit from Power Stop comes standard with four drilled and slotted brake rotors and a full set of Z36 Truck & Tow Ceramic Brake Pads.
Pair Of Drilled And Slotted Rotors
The included rotors are designed to give your truck the edge in stopping power while reducing brake fade and maintaining ride quality. The rotors' cross-drilled holes lead down into internal vanes to improve heat dissipation and minimize fade under sustained and heavy braking. Each rotor is also slotted to help keep brake dust and debris from the contact surface and pads, improving bite and consistency in stopping power. All four rotors are finished in Zinc Chromate to protect against corrosion and maximize lifespan.
Performance-Ready Ceramic Pads
High-performance Z36 Severe-Duty Brake Pads and Power Stop rotors work together to ensure sufficient stopping power during heavy application while minimizing NVH. These brake pads feature a unique carbon-fiber infused ceramic friction compound placed on a powder-coated backing plate that ensures perfect fitment and no rattling. The innovative Z36 formulation is more resistant to heat than stock-style semi-metallic pads, minimizing brake dust, rotor wear, and noise. Power Stop's Z36 Truck and Tow Complete Brake Kit includes pads for all four corners of your truck for sufficient stopping power when you need it most.
Factory rear 13.39" and front 13.66" replacements.
Power Stop Extreme Bedding Note:
The break in procedure is critical to brake performance. The reason for a proper break in is to establish an even layer of friction material deposited on the rotors from the brake pads. It is very important that this initial layer of friction material is evenly distributed. Break in the pads as follows: 5 moderate to aggressive stops from 40 mph down to 10 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool and do not come to a complete stop. Then do 5 moderate stops from 35 mph to 5 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool. You should expect to smell some resin as the brakes get hot. After this is complete, drive around for as long as possible without excessively heating the brakes and without coming to a complete stop (Try for about 5 minutes at moderate speed). This is the cooling stage. It allows the heated resin in the brake pads to cool and cure. After the brakes have cooled to standard operating temperature, you may use the brakes normally.
