The intake opening on the stock GM filter is 17.8 percent smaller then the SpoolWerks filter. This larger opening allows Corvette air intake to flow more freely, we call this the “POWER HOLE” and it makes power! The filters' construction features deep pleats in the double-layered cotton, which creates a 10-15% increase in filtration surface. This increase allows for a greater volume of air to move more freely into your engine cylinders while maintaining superior filtration.
