This gear is a new design to the original gear, 2769. It has a larger piston, larger sector shaft, the valve is bigger and better and thicker casting for the housing, Part # 2769U. Check build date. Fits 2007 (after 7/30/07) – 2010 (2/28/10 and older) Ford F-250 and F-350 vehicles.  If your vehicle was made on 3/1/10 or later, you will need model 2773.  If your vehicle was made on 7/30/07 or earlier, you will need model 2768U.  The U variants have a larger bore piston internally to allow more flow from the pump through the box to push larger than stock tires with ease. The sector shaft is larger and stronger internally as well and it has a 6 bolt cast top cover instead of the factory 4 bolt aluminum top cover. Built to last and hold up to more abuse than the standard units.

• Please drain core of fluid and replace port plugs
• Use plastic bag that we sent your new gearbox in (if it’s still intact) or whatever is needed to keep box from leaking
• Re-use packing materials to ensure the box is returned to us without hassle from the courier
• Also, if possible, tape or re-tape the outside of the box to help strengthen it

If these steps aren’t properly performed, the gearbox may end up in hazmat and/or be returned to sender by courier.
